AMD B450 Chipset
This motherboard uses the AMD B450 chipset, and is compatible with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen and Athlon CPUs featuring the AM4 socket.

Fan Xpert 2+
Fan Xpert 2+ software provides comprehensive control over system fans. Auto-Tuning Mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click. There’s also an Extreme Quiet Mode that reduces chassis fan speeds to below the default minimum to keep your system quiet when performing light tasks. Fans can also be controlled via the UEFI BIOS.
Digi+ VRM Control
The Digi+ voltage-regulation module or VRM delivers real-time control over voltage droop, automatically switching frequency and power-efficiency settings. It also allows you to fine-tune your CPU for ultimate stability and performance.

Cool by Design
Prime B450M-A II is engineered with an array of hybrid fan headers and features comprehensive cooling controls that are configurable via Fan Xpert 2+ software or via the UEFI BIOS, ensuring your rig stays cool and stable under intense workloads. Each header can monitor and react to dedicated thermal sensors, while a dedicated integrated circuit provides the fan headers with short circuit and over-temperature protections. Furthermore, each onboard CHA FAN header supports PWM and DC mode.
PCIe 3.0 M.2 with up to 32 Gb/s
Install M.2 drives up to 22110 and get data transfer speeds up to 32 Gb/s via the x4 PCI Express 3.0 interface.
USB 3.2 Gen 2
Doubling the speed of its predecessor, USB 3.2 Gen 2 features a maximum throughput of 10 Gb/s when used with compatible devices and is synonymous with USB 3.1 Gen 2.

BIOS FlashBack
BIOS FlashBack is the simplest and safest (UEFI) BIOS update method. Simply drop the (UEFI) BIOS file onto a FAT32 formatted USB stick, plug it into the USB BIOS FlashBack port, and press the button. Updates can even be performed without having memory or a CPU installed.
SafeSlot Core
Featuring a fortified design that’s anchored to the motherboard by a special hook, SafeSlot Core provides improved retention and shearing resistance over standard expansion slots.
